CONTENTS We are blessed to have 114 parks, 16 miles of River Trail and over 2,000 acres of parkland. Virg Bernero, Mayor That is 15.7 acres for every 1,000 residents, which is 40% higher than the national average. Our staff has done a great job of maintaining this infrastructure; however we need your help identifying issues in our parks. We have created Lansing Connect to give you an opportunity to report issues in our park system and community centers. Please follow the following steps listed below: 1. Go to http://lansingmi.gov/ lansingconnect or download the mobile app We have plenty of accomplishments to celebrate in 2016. Soon we will be breaking ground on a new athletic field complex at Risdale Park. We will be installing outdoor fitness equipment at Davis Park along the trail and we have just completed an accessible canoe/kayak launch in Tecumseh Park, our first launch north of the North Lansing Dam. These are just of few of the accomplishments in 2016 and we look forward to many repairs to the River Trail in 2017.
