What is Community Education? Community Education is the educational philosophy that underlies community schools and advocates the creation of opportunities for community members – individuals, schools, businesses, and public and private organizations – to become partners in addressing community needs. Community Education is most easily recognized in the community school, a facility that is open beyond the traditional school day for the purpose of providing academic, recreation, health, social service, and work-preparation programs for people of all ages. 7DEOHRI&RQWHQWV )\PSKPUN4HW&#0d;:[HɈ+PYLJ[VY` &#1a; (K\S[,UYPJOTLU[ &#1b;&#1e; (K\S[9LJYLH[PVU &#1f; +YP]LY,K\JH[PVU *VSSLNL&#0d;;LZ[7YLWHYH[PVU @V\[O(Y[Z&#0d;*YHM[Z &#1a;&#1b; @V\[O,UYPJOTLU[ &#1c;&#1d; @V\[O4\ZPJ&#0d;(Y[Z &#1e; @V\[O9LJYLH[PVU &#1f; :^PTTPUN&#0d;+P]PUN &#1a; ,HYS`*OPSKOVVK*SHZZLZ &#1b; 7VVO*VYULY7YLZJOVVS &#1c;&#1d; )LMVYL&#0d;(M[LY:JOVVS*HYL &#1e;&#1a; 9LNPZ[YH[PVU0UMVYTH[PVU &#1a; 0LVVLRQ6WDWHPHQW The mission of Saline Community Education is to deliver community education services of the highest quality to the Saline Area School District. :KDW·V1HZLQ&RPPXQLW\(G" CHECKredi New Process for Collection of Returned Checks -Saline Area Schools collects payments from families and the community in a variety of ways, but most often, payment is made by check. We recognize that occasionally a parent or community member may inadvertently overdraw a checking account and a check may be returned by your bank. In order to recover these funds in a private and professional manner, we have contracted with CHECKredi, LLC, a company based in Lexington, Kentucky for collection of returned checks. When a check is written and made payable to the district, the person writing the check agrees that, if the check is returned that it may be represented electronically on the same account, and that the fee established by law, now $25.00 in addition to the face value, may be debited from the same account. If not collected within the initial 7 days, the fee will increase to $35.00. CHECKredi will contact you by mail and by telephone in order to make arrangements to pay before attempting to represent the check electronically. Payments may be made to CHECKredi’s office by mail to P.O. Box 11848, Lexington, KY 40578. Payments of the check and fee may also be made online at www.checkredi.com using a credit card, debit card or electronic check without any additional fees.
