She attended Indiana University her first year out of school and trans- ferred to MSU last fall. Newton was admitted into the Honors College after her first semester at MSU. Her major is kinesthesiolo- gy and she is pursuing her doctorate in physical thera- py and plans to attend Grand Valley State University after graduating from MSU. She is a 2008 graduate of Rockford High School and is the daughter of Dan and Linda Newton. KIETH Ian Keith, of Rockford, made the dean’s list for the 2010 spring semester at Georgia Institute of Technology. Undergraduate students earning a 3.00 or higher aca- demic average for the semester gain the distinction of being named to the dean’s list. Engagement Wedding Davenport University has announced that several local students have been named to the dean’s list for the winter 2010 semester. To achieve the Dean’s List, a student must maintain a minimum 3.5 grade point average while enrolled in at least nine credits of regular coursework. The bride is the daughter of Sherry and Gregory Grawford of Galesburg, Mich. She obtained her B.A. from Michigan State University and her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She is currently employed at Vandervoort, Christ & Fisher, PC as an associate attorney. The groom is the son of Amy and Michael Bivins of Rockford, Mich. He has obtained his B.S. from Michigan State University and will graduate in May from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Matron of Honor was Ashley Crawford; bridesmaids were Kate Bialkowski, Shayne Wheeler, Kristin Parker, Adrien Gross and Amber Curl; best man was Zachary Bivins; groomsmen were Joshua Crawford, Jason Bricker, Scott VandeKerkhoff, Berk Tanal and Sen Zuidgeest. The couple currently reside in Battle Creek, Mich.
