Come On Down To Music On The River At Saugatuck’s Coghlin Park This Saturday Staff Report Summertime is just kicking off, the weather is warming and everyone knows Saugatuck is the place to be for fantastic fun, good food, great shopping and terrific music. And no where will the great times be rolling any better than at Coghlin Park in downtown Saugatuck this Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. as the Saugatuck-Douglas Area Business Association sponsors “Music on the River” for all to enjoy! Whether you’re looking for edible delights, toe-tapping tunes or a selection of tasty beer and wine selec-tons under the big tent, Coghlin Park is where you want to meander down to. The musical line-up includes acoustic pop specialist Mark Sala from noon to 2 p.m. Rachel and Alex, popular Indie Pop musicians, will entertain the crowd from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. And wrapping up the evening along the cool, flowing Kalamazoo River will be the hot and happening Acme Jam Bank playing all around great music from some of your favorite artists. Bring your family, friends, in-laws, neighbors and anyone else who loves a great time in the fun capi-tol of West Michigan. Spend some time browsing and shopping at all the great local stores in both Saugatuck and Douglas and then make your way to downtown Saugatuck for the day-long festivities. Proceeds from Music on the River will go towards improving the city’s Dinghy Dock that will allow our boating/ski-doing/canoeing pals easy access to the park and downtown so they can visit all the spectacular shops and restaurants throughout the area. “Everyone is welcome and we are expecting a really fun after-noon and evening that all our resi-dents and visitors alike can join in on,” says Jim Petzing, president of the Saugatuck-Douglas Area Business Association. “The music will be great and the food and drinks will be plen-ty to we look forward to seeing you all there,” he added.
